Homecoming.

Well it’s that time of the year again, and tonight I had to deal with the joys of various delays and gate changes. Needless to say I needed my good friend Jack Daniels to get me through the 2 hour flight ahead of me. Although I met this lovely woman that sat beside me who shared a common interest (alcohol of course), as she downed the Bloody Mary’s, I went with my Jack & Coke. So now I’m back in Tennessee for 4 days then it’s back to the city that never sleeps. While I’m here, I wish everyone safe traveling as they get to their loved ones for the holiday season.

Rest In Peace Chad “Pimp C” Butler

Tonight I also want to send my condolences to the family and friends of Chad Butler, better known by many as Pimp C, half of the legendary group UGK alongside Bun B. The impact UGK had on the South, and on Hip Hop as a whole makes this loss all the more hard to swallow.  Pimp C would have also been celebrating his 34th birthday on the 29th of this month, and along with Bun B, has been nominated for a Grammy for the hit single “International Players Anthem (I Choose You)”. He leaves behind his wife and three children. “One day you’re here, and then you’re gone”
